More than 2.6 million Malaysian adolescents fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as of Nov 26

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 27): A total of 2,615,923 individuals or 83.1% of the adolescent population aged 12 to 17 in the country had completed their Covid-19 vaccination as of Friday (Nov 26).

Based on the Ministry of Health’s COVIDNOW portal, 2,766,649 individuals or 87.9% of adolescents in Malaysia had received at least the first dose of the vaccine.

For the adult population, a total of 22,455,762 individuals, or 95.9% of the age group, had completed the vaccination. They were among 22,957,009 individuals or 98% of grown-ups who had received at least the first dose.

A total of 113,741 doses of the vaccine were dispensed on Friday, involving 4,929 as first shots, 6,376 as second jabs and 102,436 booster doses.

This brought total doses of the vaccine administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme so far to 52,666,489.
