KUALA LUMPUR (July 25): MINI Malaysia has introduced the new MINI JCW Pro Edition for the Malaysian market, featuring higher performance specifications compared to its predecessor, the MINI Cooper S 5-Door model.

An exclusive 20 units will be up for sale, with retail prices starting at RM255,888. The latest iteration of the automobile is touted to be the fastest, loudest and most powerful MINI 5-Door developed.

"The new MINI JCW Pro Edition has the ability to express it all — whether it is handling tight corners on a drive across the country or delivering unrivalled roaring performance around a racetrack, the car exudes the go-kart handling sporting passion that MINI is well known for but balances this with the practicality of a car for everyday use.

"From the racetrack to the road, this perfectly describes the MINI JCW Pro Edition. The car carries its motorsport heritage from the days of its victories in Monte Carlo to that of the podiums of the Paris-Dakar Rally with so much pride and ability," said BMW Group Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Han Sang Yun in a statement today.

Under the hood, the exclusive version comes with the MINI JCW Pro Tuning Kit, as well as a new performance optimised engine update, boosting its engine performance to 211hp from 192hp, while torque peaks at 300Nm compared to the 280Nm of torque by its predecessor.

The new MINI comes with the MINI four-year unlimited mileage warranty with free scheduled service, in accordance with the condition-based service system, it added.
