(Oct 29): PAS today told Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) to "mind your own business" after the splinter group told the Islamist party to state clearly its political stand and not mislead the people.

PAS secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan said Amanah should concentrate on its members and work instead of poking its nose into others' affairs.

"Mind your own business. You handle your own party members, we will handle our party. Don't make noise, strengthen your party first," he told reporters at the Parliament lobby.

"It's better to cooperate with the enemy than with your former friend, your former friend knows all your secrets."

On Tuesday, Amanah communications director Khalid Samad said PAS was free to choose its affiliation, but must be clear about it.

"They are free to do what they want. There is no right or wrong. But they must make it clear so that the people know where they stand.

"You can't campaign as an opposition party and then decide to be friendly towards the establishment after winning votes. That would be dishonest," he said at a press conference in Parliament two days ago. – The Malaysian Insider
