KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 16): Shares in Metronic Global Bhd rose 10% at mid-morning today after its largest shareholder Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew asked the company to appoint an independent auditor to conduct a special audit on the corporate activities exercised this year, which comprises an executives' share option scheme (Esos), a joint venture and a proposed private placement, as well as the company's cash flow position.
At 10.35am, Metronic added 0.5 sen to 5.5 sen for a market capitalisation of RM68.52 million.
Lee, who holds 29.01% equity interest in the company, instructed his solicitors to write to Metronic's board of directors on Sept 30, 2019 about the special audit and the appointment of an independent auditor.
