KUALA LUMPUR (July 10): Mesiniaga Bhd has won a maintenance contract worth RM10.6 million from the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN).

The contract involves comprehensive maintenance services of hardware and software systems for National Registration Department branches, the group said in an exchange filing.

The three-year contract is expected to be completed by June 30, 2023, said Mesiniaga.

“The proposed transaction will have a positive effect on the company’s net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2020. It is also expected to contribute positively to the company’s earnings over the period of the contract,” the group said.

Shares in Mesiniaga were up seven sen or 6.5% at RM1.14 in afternoon trading, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM69 million.
