KUALA LUMPUR: Magnums Butler Academy (MBA), a world leader in luxury hospitality, hotel, private household and superyacht training has awarded Resorts World Genting (RWG) its new Diamond Luxury Service Award which is only awarded to butlers who have demonstrated and reached outstanding standard of service through longevity, loyalty and consistent quality (having graduated from the Magnums Butler Academy).

The award was bestowed upon three Resorts World Genting butlers — Santhakumar James, Jamilah Jamaludin and Shahnum Salleh. Together they represented three out of only four global recipients of the inaugural award.

They were chosen for their “outstanding, superlative and seamless standards through longevity and consistent quality of butler service”, said RWG executive vice-president of leisure and hospitality Datuk Edward Holloway.

“We are one of the only two hospitality properties in Malaysia that provide training at Magnums Butler Academy for our staff. This prestigious award indicate that Santhakumar, Jamilah and Shahnum Salleh have achieved the highest accreditation in their profession. We believe this allows us to set higher benchmarks for service in the region and it shows the world our ability to deliver service excellence,” he said.

At the ceremony, Josephine Ive, director principal trainer of Magnums Butler Academy said: “Last year, we introduced this new accreditation for our butlers. Their requirements included paying amazing attention to detail in their service, being given a recommendation from their managers and having been with the same property for five years. I am very pleased to present this award myself to these three deserving recipients.”
