KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 17): Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) apologised on Monday (Jan 17) after the group said its Maybank2u web and mobile banking services, automated teller machine (ATM), self-service terminal (SST), branch banking and debit-card services are temporarily unavailable.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and are working to resolve the matter as soon as possible.

"Thank you for your patience and understanding," Maybank said in a Facebook post without specifying reasons behind the disruption of its services.

At Bursa Malaysia, Maybank's share price fell five sen or 0.59% at 4.17pm to RM8.41 for a market value of about RM99.91 billion.

Maybank's latest-reported number of issued shares stood at 11.88 billion, according to its Bursa filing on Dec 9, 2021.
