KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 8): Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd has named its founder Datuk Lee Tian Hock as the group’s new managing director (MD) effective today.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the property developer said the 57-year-old Lee previously held the chief executive officer (CEO) post since 2012.

Lee, who has 32 years of experience in property development, founded Matrix Concepts in 1997. Since then, he has steered and led the group for 18 years.

Currently, Matrix Concepts is undertaking several townships development such as Bandar Seri Sendayan and Taman Seri Impian in Negeri Sembilan.

Lee controlled some 229.35 million shares or a 41.68% equity stake in the group. He also held 22.48 million warrants in the group.

Matrix Concepts also announced the appointment of Ho Kong Soon as its deputy MD, effective today.

Ho, who has 23 years of experience in property development, graduated from University of Malaya in 1992 with Bachelor of Engineering.

Currently, Ho held a total of 27.83 million shares or 5.05% in Matrix Concepts. He also held 3.98 million warrants in the group.

At 3.06pm, shares in Matrix Concepts were unchanged at RM2.29, for a market capitalisation of RM1.26 billion.
