KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 10): Malaysia's palm oil inventory rose 3.98% to 2.02 million tonnes in September from 1.94 million tonnes in August as the commodity's export growth slowed, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said.

MPOB said in a statement today the nation's palm oil inventory comprises crude palm oil (CPO) and processed palm oil.

MPOB said September CPO production fell 1.69% to 1.78 million tonnes from 1.81 million tonnes in August. According to MPOB, palm oil exports rose 1.82% to 1.52 million tonnes from 1.49 million tonnes.

In August, palm oil exports rose 6.37% from a month earlier, according to MPOB.
