KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 12): Malaysia's palm oil stockpiles at the end of October increased 7.6 percent from the previous month to 2.72 million tonnes, industry regulator the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said on Monday.

Production in October rose 6 percent from the previous month to 1.96 million tonnes, while exports fell 3 percent to 1.57 million tonnes.

A Reuters survey had forecast palm oil's end-October stockpiles to rise 14.1 percent to 2.90 million tonnes, while production was seen rising 5.7 percent at 1.96 million tonnes. Exports, however, were forecast to fall 13 percent to 1.41 million tonnes.
