KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 10): Malaysia's December 2016 palm oil stockpile rose 0.15% to 1.67 million tonnes, from 1.66 million tonnes in November, as palm oil output and exports fell. 

The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said in a statement today that palm oil exports declined 7.48% to 1.27 million tonnes, from 1.37 million tonnes.

MPOB's palm oil stockpile and export numbers comprise crude palm oil (CPO) and processed palm oil. 

According to MPOB, CPO production fell 6.43% to 1.47 million tonnes, from 1.57 million tonnes.

December palm oil stockpile growth had slowed. In November, palm oil stockpile rose 5.69% on month, while exports fell 4.57%, according to MPOB. CPO output was 6.13% lower, MPOB said.
