KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 19): Malaysia's annual inflation rate likely picked up in October, a Reuters poll showed, reflecting a hike in fuel prices that was announced early that month.
The median forecast in the poll was 3.1 percent. In September, inflation fell to 2.6 percent, the first time it had fallen below 3 percent since November 2013.
But inflation is expected to remain above 3 percent, and economists said it would trend higher with the implementation of a goods and services tax (GST) in April 2015.
