KUALA LUMPUR (July 8): The Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has launched a campaign to raise awareness of the health and safety measures taken by its airlines, namely Malaysia Airlines, Firefly and MASwings.

In a statement, MAG said the "Fly Confidently" campaign provides passengers a new set of clear and concise infographic guidelines and resources on the respective airlines' official websites and social platforms.

It kicked off with a video entitled "Fly Confidently, Fly Malaysia", highlighting measures that comply with the  guidelines set by bodies such as Ministry of Health, International Civil Aviation Organization, World Health Organization and International Air Transport Association.

The measures are customised to the airlines' requirements in facilitating travel under the new normal, said MAG.

The guidelines implemented, the group said, include educating passengers on the latest requirements through various communication channels, imposing social and physical distancing rules where possible and requiring passengers to wear face coverings or masks at all times.

MAG chief executive officer Captain Izham Ismail said: "We introduce the Fly Confidently campaign to educate the travelling public on the health and safety measures that we have put in place to travel safely from preflight right up to arrival.

"Under this campaign we produce a series of communication resources such as infographics, travel checklist and advisories which are available on our website. Passengers can also refer to these materials to understand the steps they can take to help prevent the spread of Covid-19."

From July 15, Malaysia Airlines and Firefly will provide passengers travelling with their flights a complimentary hygiene kit, consisting of a face mask, a sachet of hand sanitiser and sanitising wipe, Izham added.
