KUALA LUMPUR (May 10): Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB) today announced a partnership with fashion brand Farah Khan to re-energise the design aesthetic of the national carrier’s iconic kebaya and other uniforms.

“We are confident that with this collaboration, the new uniforms will continue to be a point of pride for Malaysians, as well as mark the fresh new start of our transformation for all customers who fly with us each year," said MAB chief commercial officer Paul Simmons.

The creative director of the brand, Datuk Seri Dr Farah Khan, will design a uniform collection for the full range of uniforms of the airlines, said MAB.

Khan’s innovative designs, it noted, are favoured internationally and available across more than 70 cities worldwide and have a brand of international glamour that will blend well with the new Malaysia Airlines.

Khan said she was excited about the partnership and the opportunity to make a positive impact in terms of the comprehensive look of cabin crew, ground staff and the rest of the airline team.

“Our aim is to visually present the graciousness, warmth and hospitality that Malaysia is so famous for. It is an honour to be a part of this initiative, because I believe the national carrier is our pride and joy,” she said.
