KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 13): Malaysia’s palm oil inventory fell 17.29% to 1.464 million tonnes in August, from 1.771 million tonnes in July, as exports rose at a faster pace compared with crude palm oil (CPO) output. The inventory comprises CPO and processed palm oil.

The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), in a statement today, said palm oil exports in August rose 30.89% to 1.812 million tonnes from 1.385 million tonnes in July.  CPO output grew 7.32% to 1.702 million tonnes from 1.586 million tonnes.

In July, palm oil inventory fell 0.23% to 1.771 million tonnes from 1.775 million tonnes in June.
