<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Salween, 52, took over the post — which was left vacant after Rustam Apandi Jamaludin resigned on July 9 last year — on Oct 1 last year after holding the position on an acting basis since Aug 15, 2018.&nbsp;</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>According to Majuperak's filing with Bursa Malaysia today, it cited to "pursue other interests" as a reason for her resignation.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Salween was a former director of advisory services at Ernst &amp; Young, and has also held the role of director of strategy and project management at Unit Peneraju Agenda Bumiputera.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>She was also the general manager at PKNP, which is the largest shareholder of Majuperak since 2014.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In a separate filing, Majuperak said its executive chairman Mohd Ariff Yeop Ishak has been redesignated as managing director of the group, while non-executive director Mohamed Shafeii Abdul Gaffoor has been redesignated as chairman.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Majuperak shares closed unchanged at 23 sen today, giving a market capitalisation of RM45.64 million.</p></div>
