According to a media circular sent by the MACC today, the graft busters are looking for Lee, who has disappeared for a number of years.

According to the circular, the MACC is seeking Jerome's help in the ongoing SRC International Sdn Bhd case where former Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Najib Razak is facing seven charges for money laundering and abuse of power involving RM42 million from the former 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) subsidiary.

The circular stated his last known address which was at 33A, Jalan Pinggiran Semarak Api, Sierramas, 47000 Sungai Buloh, Selangor.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Jerome is advised to contact MACC’s Assistant Commissioner Rosli Husain at 010-3187757.

Lee was also an investment director at 1MDB and an associate of Low Taek Jho (Jho Low), whose own whereabouts are also unknown.

In July 2015, Lee was arrested at KLIA by the graft-busting commission, just as he was about to escape to Taiwan.

He was remanded for a few days to assist in investigations into how millions of ringgit from SRC found their way into Najib’s personal bank accounts.

He was subsequently released on RM100,000 bail.
