KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 22): Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) said one of its employees has been arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

“We have been made aware through various media reports today on the arrest made by MACC on one of our employees,” the airport operator said in a statement today. “MAHB had given full cooperation to MACC on this investigation and will continue to do so, until it is concluded.”

Bernama reported earlier that the anti-graft commission had nabbed a senior general manager at MAHB’s human resources department, who was allegedly found to have abused his position to approve some RM80,000 allocation for skin and slimming treatment for himself.

The MACC is reported to have picked up the suspect at his home in Bandar Tun Razak here, this morning.

According news reports, initial investigation revealed the suspect received the treatment from a private clinic and hospital within the Klang Valley between December 2015 and August last year.

MAHB’s share price dropped two sen or 0.3% to RM6.62 today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM10.98 billion.
