(August 3): The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today lodged a police report to deny an article published by whistleblower site Sarawak Report last week on the alleged draft of a charge sheet against the prime minister.

The report was lodged this afternoon at the Putrajaya police headquarters by MACC senior enforcement officer Hisham Mohd Yusoff.

In the report, MACC denied the existence of a charge sheet draft against Datuk Seri Najib Razak and another person, and also denied that the commission was responsible for the leak of its probe into 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

MACC stressed that none of its officers leaked any information, adding that the commission has no intention to topple the government. – The Malaysian Insider
