PUTRAJAYA (May 24): Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has finished giving his statement to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on dealings made by SRC International Sdn Bhd.

The session — Najib's second at the MACC headquarters this week — started at 10am and ended around 4.30pm, inclusive of a 40-minute break.

Unlike after the first session on Tuesday, Najib was brief in addressing some 50 reporters camped outside of the headquarters since as early as 8am.

"I have done my best in providing my statement and the MACC treated me professionally when questioning me.

"The MACC said the statement-recording session is now complete," a disgruntled Najib said before leaving the premises.

It is understood that Najib was summoned by MACC to provide his statement on dealings in SRC International, which used to be a subsidiary to 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) before it was parked directly under the Ministry of Finance.

Najib was also the chairman of 1MDB.

Also making an appearance at the MACC headquarters today was Andre Xavier Justo, a former employee of PetroSaudi International Ltd who was in the spotlight for leaking information about his former employer's joint venture with 1MDB.

It is understood that Justo's "unannounced" visit here today — as described by an MACC officer — was to meet with the 1MDB special task force formed by the Council of Eminent Persons.

He was spotted leaving at about 1.30pm, after spending four-and-a-half hours at the premises.

While MACC is currently focusing on SRC International, the 1MDB task force is probing other misappropriations in 1MDB, including allegations that RM2.6 billion worth of its funds were channelled into Najib's bank account.
