KUALA LUMPUR (April 1): Local broadcast network SUKE TV has gone live this week.

The network founded by Malaysian artiste and entrepreneur Datuk AC Mizal in 2021 will be airing local shopping programmes featuring local celebrities, influencers and entrepreneurs where viewers can shop in real time while watching TV, 24 hours a day on myFreeview, Malaysia's first and only subscription-free digital broadcast for TV.

In a statement on Wednesday (March 30), the network said that among the featured programmes is SUKECeleb, its flagship programme featuring celebrities selling their products to the audience, as well as SUKEHati, a home-shopping programme featuring local businesses promoting and selling their products.

SUKE TV envisions expanding the customer base for local small and medium enterprises nationwide through free TV, while creating new revenue streams for local entertainers that were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, all while providing a new way for fans to interact with their favourite celebrities.

For the past year, SUKE TV has been pushing forward with various partnerships, notably a financing agreement with Malaysian Debt Ventures (MDV), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Ministry of Finance, and most recently entering into a partnership with MRANTI Nexus, a contract research and manufacturing entity within the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI) group of companies.

In conjunction with its maiden broadcast, SUKE TV has announced a contest for viewers to win weekly and monthly prizes.
