KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 20): Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB) has appointed Lim Nyuk Foh as its non-independent and non-executive director, a filing to Bursa Malaysia revealed today.
.The building materials manufacturer also announced the resignation of its managing director Datuk Zainal Abidin via another filing to the exchange, reason being he ceased as a substantial shareholder of the group.
On the contrary, Lim had recently become a substantial shareholder of SCIB by accumulating over 23% stake.
Moreover, the Sabah businessman had also being appointed as managing director of Bertam Alliance Bhd, succeeding Tan Ai Tong, who had been re-designated as executive director of the property developer.
Lim is also the founder and major shareholder of timber products manufacturer Priceworth International Bhd.
SCIB climbed 1.5 sen or 1.6% to close at 93 sen today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM68.43 million.
