<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, LFE said its wholly-owned subsidiary LFE Engineering Sdn Bhd has today accepted a letter of award (LoA) from Innoseven Sdn Bhd for a RM35 million contract to supply labour, equipment, tools, plant and machineries for the completion of an extension to a hospital in Segamat for 24 months.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Separately, LFE Engineering has accepted a LoA from Seri Jaya Perkasa Sdn Bhd for a RM15.2 million job to supply the same for the construction of&nbsp;a new boarding school comprising&nbsp;25 classrooms, a dining hall and a multi-purpose hall for Sekolah Menengah Sains Segamat.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The project is for 14 months, with completion slated on May 28, 2020.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>LFE said the two contracts are expected to contribute positively to the group's earnings and net assets per share for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2019 and up to the expiry of the contract.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>LFE shares closed up 1.5 sen or 14.29% at 12 sen today, for a market capitalisation of RM22.3 million.</p></div>

CIMB Thai Bank PCL’s net profit for the first quarter ended March 31, 2024 (1QFY2024) dropped 24.6% year-on-year to 626.1 million baht from 830.1 million baht, as it reported lower operating income and higher expenses.  

The group recorded an 8.4% drop in operating income and an 11.8% increase in operating expenses. The effects of these were partially offset by a 36.9% decline in expected credit loss, according to CIMB Thai president and chief executive officer Paul Wong Chee Kin in a statement. CIMB Group Holdings Bhd has a 94.83% interest in CIMB Thai.
