KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 16): LFE Corp Bhd has won a RM350 million provisional contract from Shapadu Corp Sdn Bhd to build the proposed RM600 million Shapadu City Village development in Putrajaya.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, LFE said its wholly-owned unit LFE Engineering Sdn Bhd (LFEE) has received a letter of award dated Dec 8 from Shapadu Corp's unit Shapadu Boulevard Sdn Bhd for the proposed project.

The project involves the engineering, procurement and construction of Shapadu City Village, said LFE.

It is expected to commence today with a three-year completion target.

The project will have ‘material effect’ on its revenue and earnings in the current financial year ending July 31, 2015, LFE said.

“It is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net asset per share of the group,” it added.

LFE shares closed up 0.5 sen or 3.6% to 14.5 sen today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM12.31 million.
