KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 5): Lembaga Tabung Haji (LTH) has acquired 4.93 million shares or a further 2.09% stake in Brahim's Holdings Bhd in October, raising its total stake in the company to 17.09%, or 40.37 million shares.

The in-flight caterer told Bursa Malaysia today that the Islamic pilgrims fund board had bought some 587,100 shares or a further 0.25% stake in the company through three different transactions dated Oct 20, 21 and 22.

According to filings with Bursa, LTH has been buying Brahim's shares since end September.

The first transaction took place on September 30 when LTH purchased some 500,000 shares in the company. Subsequently, LTH had on Oct 1, Oct 2, Oct 3 and Oct 7 raised its stake to 15.69% by acquiring another 1.11 million shares in the company.

Shares of Brahim's closed two sen or 1.55% lower at RM1.27 with 120,800 units traded, translating to a market capitalisation of RM300.08 million.
