KUALA LUMPUR (July 9): Country Heights Holdings Bhd executive chairman Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew had today advised businesses to "disrupt with good intentions” and “help society solve problems”, instead of creating them.

Lee said Malaysian businesses should not be too inward-looking and that it is necessary to adapt to changes.

“Companies have to learn to manage change for the better. Things will change (but) values should not change.

“Malaysian developers have been very good at building hotels. But if we don’t change the way our hotels are managed, we will be disrupted,” Lee said. Country Heights, the businesses of which include property development and investment, also runs the Palace of the Golden Horses hotel in Seri Kembangan, Selangor.

Lee was speaking at the ASEAN Disruptive Leadership Summit 2018 (ADLS2018) here (Kuala Lumpur) today. SHAPERS Malaysia Sdn Bhd is organising the ADLS2018 in collaboration with Country Heights.
