KUALA LUMPUR (July 1): Konsortium Transnasional Bhd (KTB) appoints Clement Valentine Toh Shu Yen as its new group chief executive officer, nine months after former chairman and managing director Tan Sri Dr Mohd Nadzmi Mohd Salleh retired on Sept 27 last year.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, KTB said Toh brings with him over 23 years of experience in corporate finance, investment and merchant banking across various industries, including property development, food and beverages, manufacturing, fast-moving consumer goods, financial services and consultancy firms.

The company also said Toh is experienced in initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, corporate strategy and planning, business development, as well as execution of fiscal and operational strategies.

“His last engagement prior to joining KTB was with Lagenda Properties Bhd as general manager which he held since 2018,” the bus operator said.

KTB had also in October last year announced diversification into the construction businesses.

Shares of KTB gained half sen to 18 sen per share, giving it a market capitalisation of RM84.56 million.
