KUALA LUMPUR (July 27): The third largest shareholder of Takaso, Kombinasi Emas Sdn Bhd, together with substantial shareholder Sincere Goldyear Sdn Bhd have ceased to be substantial shareholders of Takaso Resources Bhd.

In separate filings with Bursa Malaysia today, it was found that both Kombinasi Emas and Sincere Goldyear, which are controlled by Pesona Metro Holdings Bhd managing director Wie Hock Beng, have disposed of 13.957 million shares representing 8.68% each last week.

Sincere Goldyear ceased to be a direct shareholder in Takaso since last Wednesday (July 22), while Kombinasi Emas has reduced its direct shareholding to 2.68% in Takaso since last Tuesday (July 21).

On the same days last week (July 21 and 22), baby products and condoms maker Takaso saw 38.43 million of its shares, representing an 18.8% stake in the company, cross off-market for RM13.69 million.

According to Bloomberg data, out of the shares traded, 32.43 million shares were moved at 33 sen apiece, while the remainder 6 million shares were moved at 50 sen each.

The two largest shareholders of Takaso are OCR Land Holdings Sdn Bhd (15.01%) and Nextplus Fortune Sdn Bhd (14.46%).

OCR is the vehicle of Takaso executive director Ong Kah Hoe, while Nextplus is the vehicle of Takaso executive chairman Tee Tze Chern.

Takaso (fundamental: 1.65; valuation: 0) shares closed half a sen or 0.93% lower at 53 sen, with a market capitalisation of RM108.28 million.
