KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 30): The FBM KLCI is expected to remain cautious today and extend its run below the 1,700-point level, in line with the overnight trend at most global markets, with immediate hurdle at 1,692 points.

Offshore investors reduced their exposure in stocks listed on Bursa for the fourth uninterrupted week, according to MIDF Amanah Investment Bank Bhd Research.

It said foreign funds disposed RM310.1 million net of local equities for the week ended Oct 26, up from a net outflow of RM128.70 million the prior week,

Global stocks pared their gains Monday as investors remained cautious despite IBM's $34 billion deal to purchase Red Hat Inc and Standard & Poor's decision to keep Italy's credit rating unchanged, according to Reuters.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 133.78 points, or 0.54 percent, to 24,822.09, the S&P 500 gained 19.91 points, or 0.75 percent, to 2,678.6 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.56 points, or 0.01 percent, to 7,166.65, it said.

Based on corporate announcements and news flow yesterday, stocks in focus today may include: Gamuda Bhd, MMC Corp Bhd, MISC Bhd, TMC Life Sciences Bhd, Scomi Group Bhd, Sapura Resources Bhd, Vizione Holdings Bhd, Cuscapi Bhd, Seacera Group Bhd, iDimension Consolidated Bhd and Borneo Oil Bhd.
