Southeast Asian stock markets rebounded on Tuesday, tracking stronger Asian shares and U.S. stocks overnight, as short-term bargain hunting flagged across exchanges, while positive economic data in the region underpinned sentiment, according to Reuters.

Singapore Straits Times Index reversed the seventh straight loss on Monday, trading up 0.5%. Battered large caps recovered, led by shares of Singapore telecommunications Ltd and United Overseas Bank Ltd, it said.

Hong Leong IB Research said the FBM KLCI is likely to stage a mild rebound today, tracking overnight recovery in US and European markets, amid expectations that the terrorist attacks in Paris would not have a lasting impact on global economy and equity markets.

“Key resistance levels are 1669-1685, while supports fall on 1615-1642,” it said.
