MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan tacked on 0.1% and Chinese blue chips 0.5%, it said.

Affin Hwang Capital Research said the FBM KLCI Index ended last week on a high note, gaining 12.17 points, closing above the 1,700 psychological level at 1,706.38.

The research house said a bullish pin bar (candlestick pattern) has formed near the support level on the weekly chart, positive for its index.

"Anticipate the index to continue on its rebound today.

"Local investors may look to accumulate quality stocks from current levels," it said.
