KUALA LUMPUR (June 10): Kim Loong Resources Bhd said it is investigating the cause of a fire at its palm oil mill in Kota Tinggi, Johor, yesterday.
In a filing to the stock exchange today, Kim Loong said the fire which broke out yesterday at around midnight has since been put out.
"We are in the midst of investigating the cause of the fire and damage to the processing equipments.
"No one was injured in the incident. The normal operation of the mill will be temporarily disrupted for at least two weeks.
"We are assessing the financial impact on the company and will make an immediate announcement once determined," it said.
At the midday break today, Kim Loong was flat at RM1.15 with 55,000 shares traded.
