KUALA LUMPUR (July 27): Khazanah Nasional Bhd has exited its investment in Aemulus Holdings Bhd by disposing of its remaining 29.3 million shares or 5.33% stake in the semiconductor testing firm.

According to a Bursa Malaysia filing today, Khazanah sold the 5.33% stake, held via its unit Bombalai Hill Ventures Sdn Bhd, last Friday.

According to bourse disclosures, the sovereign wealth fund first acquired a 15% stake in Aemulus in September 2015.

Since December last year, Khazanah has started trimming its stake in Aemulus.

Last Friday, Aemulus shares hit a two-year high of 40 sen on a sudden surge of buying interest, which saw the trading volume shoot up to 159 million, exceeding the counter's 200-day average trading volume by some 29 times.

The stock dropped 1.5 sen or 3.75% to 38.5 sen today, with 70.78 million shares traded with a market capitalisation of RM212 million.
