KUALA LUMPUR: Mid-sized plantation player TDM Bhd (fundamental: 0.65; valuation: 1.4) has appointed Kamarul Bahrein Kamarulzaman as its new group chief executive officer (CEO), effective Jan 1.

He succeeds Badrul Hisham Mahari, who tendered his resignation due to health reasons last year. Badrul, 56, had been the company’s CEO since 2008.

Yesterday, TDM said Kamarul Bahrein was previously the senior vice-president/head of business banking II at Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd since November 2012. He was also a member of the bank’s group management committee.
