KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 20): The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued an advisory on tropical storm Kalmaegi which could potentially cause strong winds and rough seas in the waters of the South China Sea. 

In a statement today, the department said that the distance of the closest town to the location of the storm is about 1,367 kilometer on the north east of Kudat, Sabah. Based on observation as at 5 am today, the tropical storm was located about 183 km off the north east of Luzon, Phillipines and was moving southwest with the speed of 30km per hour.
