KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 8): Bursa Malaysia-listed China-based sports shoe maker K-Star Sports Ltd has proposed a change of auditors for its financial statements for the year ended Dec 31, 2014.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing this evening, K-Star Sports said its major shareholder, K-Star Sports International Ltd, has sent a notice for the nomination of Messrs Helmi Talib & Co as the company's auditors in place of Messrs Chengco Singapore PAC.

The company has proposed for Messrs Helmi Talib & Co to hold office until the conclusion of the next annual general meeting of the company, at a remuneration to be determined by the directors.

"The proposed change of auditors is subject to and conditional upon approval to be obtained from the shareholders at the extraordinary general meeting to be convened," it said.

K-Star Sports shares closed unchanged at 11.5 sen, for a market capitalisation of RM30.64 million.
