KUALA LUMPUR: K & N Kenanga Holdings Bhd has sold its offshore investment banking unit, Capital Investment Bank (Labuan) Ltd, for close to RM6.66 million cash.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, K & N Kenanga said its wholly-owned unit Kenanga Capital Sdn Bhd had disposed entire stake in Capital Investment Bank to Amanie Corp Advisors Sdn Bhd, formerly known as WG Advisory Sdn Bhd.

Capital Investment Bank, which has a paid-up capital of US$2.63 million, is currently dormant.

According to K & N Kenanga’s annual report 2013, the board of directors of Capital Investment Bank had decided to cease its business operations in Labuan on Nov 19, 2009.

Share price of K & N Kenanga fell 0.5 sen to 58.5 sen, for a market capitalisation of about RM428 million.
