KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 30): Jentayu Danaraksa Sdn Bhd has said its proposal to revive Malaysian Airline System Bhd (MAS) is too difficult to be understood by the likes of Tuan Haji Ahmad Zakie Ahmad Shariff, the chief executive officer of Perbadanan Menteri Besar Kelantan (PBMK).

“The proposal by Jentayu is based on the 21st century business model called the ‘new class asset’, which is known for its complexity and difficulty to be understood by most CEOs and economists like Tuan Haji Ahmad Zakie Ahmad Shariff, who do not have vast experience in the aviation industry,” Jentayu said via a media statement today.

Ahmad Zakie, who is an economist, had previously told Bernama that Jentayu’s RM8.75 billion plan to revive MAS, does not make any business sense. “That is business nonsense. Isn’t that also giving false hopes to these MAS staff?” he had questioned yesterday (Monday, Dec 29).
