KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 03): JCY International Bhd has incurred loss of about RM1 million as a result of worker unrest, which led to a temporary shutdown of its factory operations in Kulai Jaya, Johor.

Last week, the hard disk drive manufacturer announced it had suffered a strike by its workers and also an outbreak of fire, which caused the shutdown.

Today, JCY told Bursa Malaysia that RM800,000 of the RM1 million loss is covered under the Industrial All Risks Insurance policy.

The firm also said its operations at the Kulai Jaya factory had been fully restored last Friday.
