GEORGE TOWN (Aug 3): The shares of JCY International Bhd, a hard disk drive mechanical maker, rose by 4.05% to 74 sen on anticipated positive third quarter results for the financial year ending Sept 30, 2015.

At 11.35am, it increased three sen, with 10,062,700 shares changing hands, giving it a market capitalisation of RM1.5 billion.

Interpacific Securities remisier Sam Ng told theedgemarkets.com that the counter was volatile and has risen by about 20% in the past few months.

“The counter is trading among partly day traders in anticipation of JCY’s third quarter results which is expected to show good profit,” he said.

Year-to-date, JCY (fundamentals: 2.1; valuation: 2.4) has increased by 37.8%.
