KUALA LUMPUR (June 17): Shares in JcbNext Bhd surged by 30% or 39 sen at the beginning of the afternoon trading session.

The counter, which has been rising since the opening bell this morning, is now trading at a nearly three-year high.

At 2.50pm, shares in the counter were up by 30% or 39 sen at RM1.69, yielding a market capitalisation of RM226.66 million. It is the highest value gainer on the local bourse at the time of writing.

The digital marketing and advertising services company had its annual general meeting (AGM) yesterday, which saw all six resolutions proposed accepted by shareholders.

This includes the declaration of a final dividend of three sen per share for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2020 (FY20).

In a separate bourse filing yesterday, the group also announced that it had bought back 20,000 shares at RM1.30 apiece or RM26,076.20 in total.
