Celebrate New Year’s Eve this year in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, right in sight of the annual display magical fireworks in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). Nobu KL, situated on the 56th floor of Petronas Tower 3, offers spectacular views of this memorable night, showcasing a specially curated Omakase menu and club lounge packages exclusively for New Year’s Eve.

Nobu, one of the world’s most recognised Japanese fine-dining restaurants, started as a partnership in 1994 between chef Nobu Matsuhisa and actor Robert DeNiro. The original restaurant in New York has now spawned an empire that spans five continents, with a presence in London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing, Milan, Dubai, Melbourne, Cape Town, Moscow, Mexico City, Perth and Budapest. Chef Matsuhisa’s focus on freshness, quality and simplicity elevate his dishes that are an experimentation and fluid incorporation of diverse ingredients.

Executive chef Philip Leong has crafted a sophisticated seven-course Omakase meal that truly embodies the concept of new-style Japanese cuisine featuring dishes such as buri and beetroot salad with dry miso and yuzu olive, and kobe with goma truffle. The Omakase set also highlights some of Nobu’s signature dishes, such as toro tartar and white fish tiradito, in a New Year’s zensai moriawase.

Priced at RM750 per person, the New Year’s Eve Omakase Dinner includes a flute of Veuve Clicquot champagne to complete the festive air of the night. You can make reservations for one of two dinner sessions — at 6pm and 9pm — and a 50% deposit is required upon confirmation of a reservation.

The Nobu Club Lounge will also be having special New Year’s Eve promotion, with different beverage packages and a canape station featuring eight types of dishes. Patrons can opt for the RM300 entry fee that entitles them to canapes, or indulge in one of four beverage packages that also include the canape sets — advanced payment in full is required for all reservations for lounge tables.

To complete the celebration, the Nobu Club Lounge’s Resident DJ will be entertaining guests throughout the night, who will be treated to a special Japanese taiko performance to start the countdown, in anticipation of the KLCC’s fireworks.
