KUALA LUMPUR(Jan 9): PN-17 categorised  Integrated Rubber Corp Bhd (IRCB) saw its share price rising as much as  2.5  sen, or 3.88%, to 67 sen on news of the emergence of two new substantial shareholders, Datuk Lau Eng Guang and his son Brian Lau Joo Kien.

According to Bursa filings yesterday, Eng Guang holds a direct interest of 9.72 million shares, or a 2.25% stake, based on IRCB's issued and paid up capital of 433 million shares. He also has an indirect interest of 68.5 million shares, or 15.82%, by virtue of his shareholding in Keen Setup Sdn Bhd. Brian Lau is also deemed indirectly interested in IRCB via Keen Setup.

Eng Guang is also an executive director in the Leong Hup group, which is a substantial shareholder in poultry farming company Teo Seng Capital Bhd. He also serves on the board of A’ Famosa Golf Resort Bhd.

As at 12.03 pm, IRCB shares were trading at 65 sen, up 0.5sen, or 0.78% with 157,500 shares exchanging hands, giving it a market capitalisation of RM290.12 million.
