<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>KUALA LUMPUR (July 10): Icon Offshore Bhd's Brunei subsidiary has received an extension on the charter of its vessel, Icon Kayra, from charterer Zell Transportation (ZT).</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, Icon Offshore said its subsidiary Icon Bahtera (B) Sdn Bhd (IBSB) had received the extension on May 10 this year.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The firm and ZT had entered into a time charter party on April 16, 2014, for the charter of Icon Kayra for five years, with an option to extend for another two years.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>It said the extension award received from ZT on May 10 was varied for a period of two years, with a one-year extension option.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Icon Offshore explained that this is a variation to the initial contract that was announced on Aug 20, 2014.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The group said the variation to the contract is valued at approximately RM36 million and is expected to contribute positively to its earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2019 and beyond.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>At the noon market break today, shares of Icon Offshore were unchanged at 9 sen, for a market capitalisation of RM105.95 million.</p></div>
