KUALA LUMPUR: Digital property portal Hartabumi.com is organising a property conference — the Hi Home Property Conference — which it targets to be a platform for all stakeholders in the property industry to air their views and share critical analysis of home ownership issues.

The one-day conference will be held on July 25 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre here, and will be attended by over 700 delegates, including top executives and thought leaders in property development, finance, technology, government and youth, the company said in a statement.

The conference aims to be a platform for idea generation, discussions of new solutions and the introduction of new technologies to assist the government in addressing issues related to home ownership, especially among youths, in Malaysia, it said.

The purpose of the conference, which is jointly organised by My Events International, is to offer fresh perspectives on home ownership issues by leveraging Hartabumi.com’s experience as an online property portal established in 2015, the company said. Discussions will centre around strategies, solutions and new ideas holistically and comprehensively via four clusters: affordability, market and policy, data and technology and the future, said Hartabumi.com founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Radzi Tajuddin.

The event will be launched by Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin, and Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.

Among confirmed speakers are AirAsia Group Bhd CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, CIMB Group Holdings Bhd group CEO Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd executive vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Judin Abdul Karim, Khazanah Research Institute research director Dr Suraya Ismail and Propenomy Academy founder Dr Daniele Gambero.

In conjunction with the event, an online property expo will run for three months from July 25 to Oct 31, where 100 property projects nationwide — with an estimated property value of RM3.4 billion — will be featured.

“We will be introducing innovative technologies such as a financial profile calculator, location-based transactional data and a smart chat box to provide a seamless experience for homebuyers. We are targeting one million visitors, especially youths, to visit the online expo,” said Radzi.
