KUALA LUMPUR (March 14): HeiTech Padu Bhd has won a RM28.61 million contract from the Health Ministry to develop and implement a pilot module for clinical documentations in patient management system.

The four-year contract, commencing on March 21, also covers supply, delivery, installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, hardware, software, and equipment.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, HeiTech Padu said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings of the group and its earnings per share.

"Nevertheless, the contract will have no material effect [on] the dividend policy, gearing, share capital and the substantial shareholders' shareholdings of the company for the financial ending Dec 31, 2016," it said.

HeiTech Padu said any further renewal or extension of the contract's duration is at the government's discretion.

HeiTech Padu, in which Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) owns a 27.5% stake, is involved in the provision of systems integration, network related services, data centre management and IT-related services.

The company had reportedly clinched a RM16.9 million one-year contract from PNB on Jan 14 to outsource application services, desktop management services, data centre services, disaster recovery services and helpdesk services.

This is in addition to a RM26.2 million three-year contract from Tenaga Nasional Bhd commencing Jan 7 for the establishment of a power substation in Kelantan and a two-year RM120.63 million contract ending June 30, 2017 from the National Registration Department for the maintenance of the department's main ICT business system.

HeiTech Padu shares closed unchanged at 62 sen, with a market capitalisation of RM62.76 million.
