KUALA LUMPUR: Senior lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah said his hand was not fractured as claimed after an X-ray check but there is a swelling of his blood capillary.

Muhammad Shafee said his specialist doctor had initially thought that he had suffered a fracture but on further examination it was diagnosed that he has “soft tissue damage and swelling of the blood capillary”.

He told  reporters covering former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak’s cases at the High Court that his injury occurred on Monday after his pet dog jumped on him and he fell.

“The dog is a 10-month-old guard dog . We have an old guard dog inside (the house) with the 10-month-old guard dog, and several guard dogs outside,” he added.

He said the bruise became unbearable early Tuesday morning just as he woke up to prepare for his cases.
