KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 27): Green Packet Bhd saw 4.41% of its shares changing hands in a series of off-market trades today.

According to Bloomberg, the 39.9 million shares were traded in 12 blocks — 11 blocks at 70 sen a share and one block at 65 sen apiece.

The total value of the shares traded was RM27.72 million.

The identities of those involved in the trade were not known at the time of writing.

However, Singapore-based private equity firm Kendall Court said it has emerged as a substantial shareholder of Green Packet, after acquiring 65 million shares or a 7.19% stake at 70 sen apiece.

Green Packet’s share price closed three sen or 4.14% higher at 75.5 sen today, with a market capitalisation of RM682.40 million.
