KUALA LUMPUR: Grab is officially rolling out its on-demand delivery service called GrabExpress to the wider Klang Valley area, after launching it in Malaysia last year in its beta stage.

In a statement yesterday, Grab said GrabExpress was previously available only in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur City Centre and KL Sentral.

“GrabExpress, which is also available in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines, is our latest addition to our growing suite of services on the Grab app to serve the daily needs of our customers,” GrabExpress regional head Adeline Foo said.

Foo said the group is gearing to build “an ecosystem of services” in order to improve the quality of life of users, merchants and business partners.

She added that the group aims to support Malaysia’s growing e-commerce industry, allowing for home-based entrepreneurs and social sellers to utilise the service to deliver their products directly to their customers.

Grab said the demand delivery service had seen a 10-time increase in deliveries since October last year, with more than 50% of users being return customers. During the same period, the number of delivery partners has also been increasing steadily week-on-week.

Users can use GrabExpress via the Grab app, with real-time tracking being provided.
