KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 5): Grab and Singapore Airlines (SIA) is integrating their mobile apps to offer convenience to customers travelling to airports across six countries in Southeast Asia.

In a joint statement today, ride-hailing company Grab and SIA said starting today, SIA customers can book Grab rides through the SingaporeAir mobile app in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

GrabPay head Jason Thompson said in the statement: "This partnership is a significant recognition by one of the most prestigious airlines in the world" for Grab. GrabPay is Grab's mobile-payment platform.

SIA senior vice president for sales and marketing Campbell Wilson said: "We are constantly seeking to enhance our SingaporeAir mobile app and KrisFlyer programme to ensure that we provide more benefits to our customers."

According to the statement, Grab is available in more than 100 cities across seven countries including Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar. SIA operates services to over 60 destinations in more than 30 countries across five continents.
